What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

Develop Modularisation to optimise cost and time.

 Product Optimisation for target Markets

 On time and high quality standards inputs to enable smooth project execution

 Cost optimisation of products  On time technical documentation / reports and submissions

 Technical presentations to customers/customer meetings for detailed engineering stage

 Supervision and preparation of information to support proposals department at tendering stage. Lead Early Engagement on behalf of Engineering team

 Use Howden`s approach to promote Built in Engineering Quality concepts into Standard work. Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Commercial and Procurement teams to drive improved manufacturing and supply chain performance and early defect detection

 Ensure adherence to company environmental, health and safety standards in compliance with company policies to ensure a safe working environment and the minimisation of environmental impact.

Your Education Should Be…

• Experience of the Design of rotating equipment in the process industry
• Understanding of various standards like API618, 617, 673, 614, 619, 672,
• Good technical knowledge of Pressure Vessels and Piping Systems and associated design codes
• Knowledge of process design techniques and interpretation of results into mechanical equipment details.
• Understanding of the requirements and key interfaces with other engineering disciplines and how these link to the design and operation of compression systems, particularly: control systems, safety, mechanical, electrical, commissioning, and operations.
• Understanding of Oil & Gas, industrial, Petrochemical Engineering Processes and Rotating Equipment.
•  Working knowledge of international standards such as ASME, ANSI, PED and API or simila
• Technical report writing  Ability to make technical presentations
•  Experience working in lean and continuous improvement environment and of using associated operational excellence and growth tools and processes
• Formal Talent development, coaching and mentoring and succession planning
• Ability to perform design calculations and analysis.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

Main purpose of job

 Lead the Engineering team for all Engineering activities for Howden Products and Packages in India; should be able to leverage this knowledge for Howden-Global Engineering support.

 Develop packages for India optimising technical parameters and cost and maximizing sourcing from India.

 Provide engineering support from sales engagement. Sourcing, project execution and long-term aftermarket sustainability

 Coach, develop, and mentor Engineering team members to engage proactively with the wider Howden business units to adopt the best engineering standards into both product and documentation standard work

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

Essential skills, knowledge & behaviours

 Leadership skills – never accept the status quo, relentless focus on improvement. Resilience in the face of resistance and challenge

 Bachelor’s Degree Calibre in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, having experience in handling Rotary Product design, Modules and Package designs with an organisation of repute is essential

 Previous experience in Oil and Gas for various compressor product’s end to end detailed engineering

 Knowledge of international standards (API 618/619/617/672/673, ASME, TEMA, etc) and specifications

 Excellent Problem solving ability  Broad range of communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, senior management and shop floor personnel.

 Change Management. Use collaborative working style to positively affect change across the organisation  Coaching others to achieve improved performance and personal development

 Data analysis and management skills. Present facts to drive outcomes

 Handling of 3 D platforms for Equipment designs and Package Design.

 Working with International Organisations, collaboration with colleagues from different cultures and geographies is essential part.
