The Role

 

 

Join our Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls team at our Renfrew headquarters — the heart of our operations.


This position is a backfill for an internal promotion, reflecting the genuine career progression available within the department. You’ll support the design and delivery of CAD drawings for our screw compressor packages, working closely with experienced engineers across EI&C and Hardware Design.


You won’t just be producing drawings — you’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team solving real-world technical challenges and contributing to high-quality, commercially focused solutions

What Will You Do?

 

 

 

  • Produce and manage AutoCAD drawings to support detailed design projects.
  • Provide draughting support to EI&C Engineers during project delivery.
  • Identify and communicate technical issues, suggesting practical solutions.
  • Plan and prioritise your workload to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality and Procurement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering quality standards.
  • Ensure designs align with safety, environmental and commercial considerations.

 

 

What do you bring?

 

 

An ideal candidate would likely have the following profile: 

 

  • Experience using AutoCAD (Autodesk) – from education or industry.
  • An HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, P&ID familiarity or exposure to control panels would be desirable but not essential
