Exciting Opportunity for a Financial Accountant - 15 Month Fixed Term Contract.

 

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will support the Financial Controller in all aspects of group and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and SOX controls. You will also collaborate with project controllers on financial planning and analysis while contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting. What Will You Do...

  • Group & Statutory Reporting: Assist with the preparation of monthly financial and management reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
  • Group Reporting in OneStream: Take ownership of weekly, monthly, and quarterly submissions through OneStream, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Cash Forecasting: Prepare weekly cash forecasts, working closely with the Shared Services Centre (SSC) to ensure accurate and reliable projections.
  • Forecasts & Budgets: Assist in the preparation of company forecasts and budgets, contributing to the financial planning and analysis process.
  • Audit Support: Provide assistance to internal and external auditors by gathering relevant information and answering queries.
  • Statutory Accounts: Prepare statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP/FRS102, ensuring financial statements are accurate and compliant.
  • SOX Compliance: Ensure SOX controls are adhered to and maintain sufficient documentation to support compliance efforts.

What Do You Bring...

  • Qualifications: You are a qualified accountant with post-qualification experience, possessing a strong knowledge of US GAAP and FRS102.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and analyse large data sets efficiently. Experience with MS Dynamics AX or a similar ERP system is desirable.
  • Project Accounting: Previous experience with percentage of completion and project accounting is an advantage, as well as VAT compliance for both UK and overseas operations.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with different departments and stakeholders, facilitating smooth financial processes across the organization.
  • Time Management: Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities effectively.
  • Problem-Solving & Judgement: You have a keen ability to exercise professional judgement and make sound financial decisions, particularly in high-pressure situations.

This is a 15 month Fixed Term Contract working 37 hours per week. We offer hybrid working for this role which will allow you to enjoy the balance of home working and collaboration time with the team in our modern offices which include free onsite parking.
