The Role

This Legal Assistant role based in Renfrew offers a unique opportunity to support both the legal and administrative needs of a dynamic in-house Legal team. You'll be involved in everything from coordinating external counsel and managing corporate governance processes, to proofreading legal documents and facilitating internal compliance workflows. On the administrative side, you'll maintain legal databases, arrange document signings, manage team logistics, and help oversee legal invoicing and travel.

 

It’s a hands-on, detail-oriented position ideal for someone with at least three years' experience in legal support—where no two days look quite the same.

What Will You Do?

  • Provide corporate governance and entity management support.
  • Liaise with external counsel and assist with compliance matters.
  • Review, proofread, and provide commentary on legal documentation.
  • Contribute to cross-functional legal projects and coordination.
  • Deliver comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Legal team.
  • Maintain internal legal databases and archives.
  • Maintain dispute and legal invoicing databases.

What Do You Bring?

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a legal support or administrative role.
  • Legal education not required, though qualifications in the legal field are welcomed.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with legal administrative tools and standard office software.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
