Howden Thomassen Compressors is a specialist supplier of tailor-made gas compression equipment to various industries. Our products have made a valuable difference for our clients for the past 100 years, and we are now looking for a Project Manager who will join our team and who will support in making a valuable difference in the century to come. As a Manager Logistics you have a big impact on our manufacturing plant in Rheden, The Netherlands nd you will be responsible for logistics as well as warehousing. This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly motivated team to capture the growth opportunities in the renewable hydrogen market! 

What needs to be done?

• Supervise packing and warehouse teams to ensure safe and efficient processes and inventory accuracy.
• Identify and implement cost optimization and efficiency improvements within logistics operations.
• Manage, coach, and develop the logistics team to achieve departmental objectives and best practices.
• Maintain accurate metrics, reports, and documentation to support decision-making.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies and process improvements to enhance operational performance
• and cost efficiency.
• Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company
• policies.
• Oversee shipping operations to ensure compliance with international regulations and timely deliveries.

Leadership and Management:

· Proven experience in managing and developing teams.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members.

Analytical Skills:

· Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement cost optimization strategies.

· Strong analytical skills to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Communication Skills:

· Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.

· Ability to provide clear and concise reports and documentation.

Technical Knowledge:

· Knowledge of logistics operations, shipping regulations, and warehouse management.

· Familiarity with logistics software and tools.

Problem-Solving:

· Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues related to shipping compliance and customer

delivery.

· Ability to handle complex logistics challenges and find effective solutions.
