What Will You Do?

The R&D Engineer is a qualified and experienced engineer responsible for carrying out or leading analyses, studies and validations that require scientific, engineering and design expertise in New Product Development projects, and occasionally for troubleshooting and technical support activities. The Sr R&D Engineer works on once own assignments and may coach and provide guidance or assignments to other engineers in the team. 

• Defines methods and approaches to analyze the question and deliver a solution to the organization 
• Executes analyses such as risk assessments, FMEA’s, technical concept comparisons, Root Cause Analyses 
• Performs scientific and technical studies in the context of specific product development, technology development or internal tools and standard developments 
• Contributes or lead concept selections and validations 
• Performs calculations and design validations 
• Supports the Sales Teams and makes decisions on compressor applications and selections that can not be achieved within the limits of company current technical standards 
• May contributes or leads troubleshooting activities to support project teams 
• In her / his area of expertise, supervises, trains or coach other engineers either on joint assignments or on other team member’s specific assignment 

What do you need to bring?

• Degree in engineering
• Solid academic knowledge in thermodynamics or fluid mechanics 
• Basic knowledge in vibrations and pulsations, pressure equipment 
• Knowledge or experience in machinery 
• Working knowledge of calculations (FEA, stress calculations, heat transfer, vibration and torsional analyses) and design methodologies, systems and tools 
• Basic knowledge of the most common production processes in the industry (casting, forging, machining, welding) 
• Basic knowledge in metallic materials (mechanical properties, composition, uses) 
• Analyse and compare design alternatives 
• Communication: ability to explain and document technical choices, ability to write technical 
• documentation 
• Fluency in Engilish
