Sales Applications & Estimating Manager

What Will You Do?

1. To support Sales in the budget bidding process
2. Responsible for the firm bidding process through contract signing
3. Direct responsible for Application Engineer, provide technical support to Sales team.
4. Grow Howden’s reciprocating compressor business in Korea by offering customer facing technical support and retrofit/upgrade/overhaul proposals
5. Support Howden Korea workshop growth by providing technical support on compressor parts refurbishment and CPI valve reconditioning
6. Prepare commercial & technical proposals based on specification or material requisition.
7. Perform technical assessment of proposal prepared by sales team.
8. Review and evaluate client’s specifications and sizing of compressors/Fans/heaters and auxiliary equipment.
9. Establish clarification required by the client based on client’s specifications in conjunction with the specialists.
10. Develop the technical offer and complete required documentation to meet client request.
11. Clarify the technical offer with the customer and end-users are required.
12. Establish the cost analysis of the compressor, Fans and heaters and auxiliary accessories.
13. Contribute to continuous improvement activities
14. Administrative diligence – accurately and efficiently in a timely manner prepare required documents and seek to continuously improve office procedures
15. Liaise with PBU (Product Business Units) in order to start transferring PBUs knowledge and being a backup instead of PBU sales or technical team in local.
16. Embrace Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and apply the use of the core company values

Your Experience Should Be...

1. Mechanical Engineering degree or related discipline
2. 5 years experience in compressor field preferred
3. Demonstrated experience in solving complex issues logically in the field of Compressors, fans, heaters, and their associated systems
4. Ability to remain calm in stressful environment and under pressure.
5. Demonstrated ability to work with software and control systems.
6. English: Fluent (TOECI >750 or other equivalent licensor is acceptable)
7. Demonstrable focus on working safely for self and others.
8. Technical and commercial negotiation skill in the client / supplier relationship

[Desirable Skills, knowledge & experience]

• Experience working on compressors, fans & heaters installed in refinery, chemical plants, mining, power stations and oil & gas industries.
• Reciprocating compressor experience preferred
