Chart Industries is looking for an experienced Controller to join our office in The Woodlands, TX. We are open to a hybrid schedule for this role. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, the overall safeguarding of assets and leading strategic accounting initiatives to improve and align accounting practices within Heat Transfer Systems, Cryogenic division. 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

• Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process
• Oversees the preparation of financial statements and filings
• Prepares reports for executive leadership to facilitate decision making
• Develops internal controls and oversees audits of policies and procedures
• Support capex and cash management
• Contributes to strategic planning, direction and goal setting of direct reports
• Lead strategic initiatives to improve and align accounting practices across the seven entities within HTS Cryo
• Travel < 25%

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

• 10+ work experience in financial/accounting field, including previous supervisory experience
• Experience in accounting, management reporting and analysis in Manufacturing or an Engineer to Order product line environment.
• Experience in project Cost accounting, reporting, and analysis.
• Experience in Percentage of Completion Revenue Recognition.
• Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Business decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate financial results to both financial and operating groups.
• ERP Systems experience, JDE a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Products

Your Education Should Be…

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• CPA designation strongly preferred
