Ensuring Chart’s Success…

This will lead the finance and accounting processes for Chart’s Heat Transfer Systems global segment. As of 2021, the Segment has $263 Million in revenue, forecasted to hit over $400M in 2022 with operations in the US and Europe, and is part of a $1.3 Billion publicly traded company. Position is accountable for all financial related matters including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes; analysis of financial performance; leads creation of annual plan and 3-year strategic plan; partners with business leaders to ensure accurate forecasting, recommendations of changes to achieve financial plans; operational review of performance with corporate finance department; leads staff of approximately 10 employees. This role will report to the VP/GM of Chart Energy & Chemicals.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Lead business and segment conference calls to review global financial performance against projection and prior periods
  • Perform periodic financial statement review and analysis of variances to forecast and prior periods for each of the business units in the HTS segment
  • Formalize income statements and balance sheet to ensure all accounts are reconciled and reviewed in accordance with company policy for all locations (including North America, Europe & Asia)
  • Analysis of FX and transfer pricing impacts across projects and business units
  • Implement cash flow and working capital improvements
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies, procedures, goals and priorities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Lead strategic planning process and annual plan creation
  • Collaborate with Commercial Team on HTS pipeline
  • Work with Corporate team to ensure entity level SOX controls are documented and reviewed, including challenging current controls around financial statement consolidation
  • Partner with business unit finance leaders on technical accounting issues and resolution of issues identified during periodic balance sheet reviews and analyses
  • Identify operational impacts affecting results by analyzing data, converting it into meaningful performance indicators and actionable business intelligence and recommendations, and regularly monitor and communicate trends as well as analyze unexpected variances
  • Collaborate with segment and corporate finance and accounting colleagues to make recommendations and drive process improvements in reporting, analysis, and forecasting
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and lead special projects as requested

Your Education Should Be…

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA highly preferred

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Ability to travel up to 20%, including international travel
  • Lift up to 15 pounds
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 10+ years of progressive experience with a mix of industry and public accounting; prefer public company experience in a POC project environment, specifically highly engineered systems and large multi-year projects encompassing multiple business units across countries
  • High standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized individual seen as a trusted and objective advisor
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP tools such as JD Edwards, SAP, etc.
  • Experience with Consolidation and Forecasting tools such as Anaplan, Hyperion or OneStream
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
