Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Assist our Theodore facility with fast growth needs in the areas of buying and scheduling as we ramp up production. Will assist existing team to ensure we have proper resources on hand for orders including materials, production resources, production schedule and data maintenance to track these items.  

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
  • Develop and maintain project schedules that are resource loaded and logically linked
  • Update project schedules daily and publish weekly schedules for management review
  • Generate a forecast for project resources and milestone completion dates
  • Report project status, earned value, budget resource quantities and forecast to Project Managers and project team members
  • Perform key purchasing duties including submitting RFQs, coordinating the supplier set up in the Company ERP system when necessary, bids comparison, maintaining ASL lists, entering Purchase Orders/Blanket Orders, expediting, ensuring goods are received or assisting in solving discrepancies.
  • Assist Accounts Payable (AP) to resolve supplier PO -invoice discrepancies, when needed,
  • Procure competitively priced materials, services and equipment of the correct technical specification, in an ethical, cost effective and timely manner.
  • Ensured timely delivery of goods and services to meet business requirements within supply control.
  • Track and maintain purchasing records files in the JD Edwards system
Your Education Should Be…
  • High school diploma or GED. Associates degree preferred
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
  • Working in open heavy metal manufacturing environment
  • Stand, sit, bend at computer workstation
  • Lift up to 20 pounds
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
  • 2 – 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with purchasing supplies and scheduling work orders.
  • Experience with an ERP system such as JD Edwards, SAP, etc.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and organization skills.
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and be able to create and interpret key reports.
  • Ability to perform and deliver results under pressure.
  • Results oriented, proactive, excellent prioritization, time management and negotiation skills.
