2nd Shift Fabricator

Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Fabricator: Under general direction, responsible for operating band saws, bar cutting saws and related equipment. Operates computer consoles as needed. Uses measurement instruments to check work.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

• Checks print for proper material and dimensions
• Sets up saw for cutting, using the template.
• Saws bars to length with proper angles per print.
• Moves material in and out of work area.
• Must count parts for proper quantities.
• After deburring bars, places bars in bin location and records in logbook.
• Does equipment check (I.E. oil levels, H2O levels, temperature, H2O filter gauges, oil filter gauges, H2O softener levels, leaks & checks, or unusual noises)
• Cuts bars to proper lengths
• Deburrs angle cuts when using band saw

Your Education Should Be…

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

Works indoors in well-lighted factor atmosphere. Constant exposure to oil. Some exposure to aluminum chips.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

3-5 years in Manufacturing
