Ensuring Chart’s Success…
The employee in this position will cut all flat bars, shear and punch required holes in bearing mounting plate, and cut all required internal parts for Structure and Side Frames, etc
What Will You Do?
Clocks in and out of Time and Attendance, jobs, etc.
Reads blue prints (light).
Makes and completes parts.
Troubleshoots and calibrates machinery.
Completes consumption reports.
Follows instructions.
Analyzes prints or instructions for discrepancies.
Cross-trains in other areas/departments as needed.
Attends, participates and conducts pre-shift and weekly safety meetings.
Follows all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements; encourages action assuring safe behavior; confronts unsafe behavior and conditions proactively and positively.
Reads, analyzes, understands and demonstrates knowledge of Chart including travelers, work instructions, In-Process Inspection Check Lists, etc.
Conducts himself/herself in a considerate, professional, cooperative and helpful manner toward fellow employees, customers, vendors and visitors.
Complies with all Chart policies and procedures including Attendance, Code of Conduct, Dress Code, Behavior, etc.
EQUIPMENT USED: Crane, hoists, Drill, Ironworker, Various hand and measuring tools
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Physical Requirements of the Position:
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing.
Visual Acuity Requirements of the Position:
The worker is required to have close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small defects, using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication; visual acuity to operate machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws and mills, welders, grinders, etc. where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach; visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned, inspect work, etc.
Conditions the Employee will be Subject to in this Position:
The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
The worker is subject to vibration to the extremities or whole body.
The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals.
The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin; fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
The worker is frequently in close quarters and other areas that could cause claustrophobia.
The worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
Must be able to work inside and outside
This position is classified as safety sensitive. Due to the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, the role requires heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols. Employees must be able to perform duties in a manner that ensures their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace
Your Experience Should Be...
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior manufacturing experience
- Read tape measure and blue prints
EDUCATION:
- Prefer high school diploma or GED
