Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Chart's manufacturing and admin group is crucial to building our products on time and of the highest quality to our customers. Work towards production goals in the Coil, Finning and Final department through appropriate scheduling of production, working in conjunction with department supervisors and plant manager. Promote a productive work environment by adhering to attendance guidelines.

 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Supervises shop floor employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
  • Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements to production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions

 

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Has the ability to read and understand multiple production schedules” relative to Steel Fabrication and Engineered products.
  • Directs workforce to achieve production goals in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Understands Safety & promotes a Safety Culture.
  • Performs maintenance related activities including Preventative Maintenance (PM) Inspections, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Predictive Maintenance activities.
  • Completes Daily Report information.
  • Provides leadership in regards to employee relations, coaching, and development.
  • Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity and cost),
  • Increase subordinates' skills and capabilities, and prepare activity plans.
  • Must be able to assist Plant Manager in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control, and performance management.
  • Reads and interprets applicable drawings.
  • Trains or assists in training other employees.
  • Quality management.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Your Education Should Be…

  • Must have a minimum 3-5 years current supervisory experience within a fast

    paced manufacturing environment.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Associates Degree or Bachelors preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma
  • Computer literacy is a must
  • JD Edwards

 

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
