Chart's project management group is critical to delivering our products on time and within budget while maintaining customer satisfaction.  The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of a project from contract award to completion. This position is based in Tulsa, OK and eligible to work a hybrid schedule with three days in the Tulsa, OK facility

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • •    Main customer & internal interface point for projects.
    •    Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure that the project deliverables are met.
    •    Responsible for all commercial and administrative requirements during project execution
    •    Monitor/Control project technical, schedule, and budget: mitigate variances and risks.
    •    Manage the project budget.
    •    Assures safe project execution to the client's satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule, and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom-line responsibility for financial success. 
    •    Delivers expected results for financial, HSE, client satisfaction, budget, and schedule performance.  
    •    Assure project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.  
    •    Review, understand, and interpret customer specifications and contract requirements.
    •    Monitor and control project scope.
    •    Draft, review, and issue Project Change Orders
    •    Negotiates changes with the client.  
    •    Communicate project status to customer and internal stakeholders
    •    Plans the project execution, revises the plan as necessary and assures adherence to the plan.  
    •    Keeps the client and company advised of project status.  
    •    Leads the project team and is responsible for the successful completion of the project.  
    •    Client/Customer Management 
    •    Championing customer needs.
    •    Abides by our business ethics.

What Your Day-To-Day Activities Will Be (Continued)...

•    Lead and oversee Design, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Installation phases.
•    Provide guidance and problem resolution.
•    Coordinate material purchasing requirements, develop requisitions, oversee vendor progress.
•    Execute customer invoices and follow-up on overdue invoices.
•    Relevant and demonstrable management experience throughout the full project life cycle.
•    Follow company procedures with regard to process & procedures.
•    Maintain Project Management Tools and Best Practices.
•    Prepare and present management reviews of assigned projects.
•    Mentor peers fostering a team environment.
•    Adapting to change and driving continuous improvement.
•    Driving for results, evaluating and implementing ideas.

Your Education Should Be…

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university
  • PMI or PMP certification is desirable
  • In lieu of Bachelor's degree, candidate must have 4 years of relevant work experience

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • This position will require the ability to move around the production floor
  • Lift up to 15 pounds
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting
  • Travel up to 10%

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Project Managers must have 3 years project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Senior Project Managers must have at least 7 years project management experience in a heavy fabrication, manufacturing environment and proven experience managing multiple complex projects.
  • Experience developing and managing project financials (forecasting, cost accruals, reconciliation).
  • Experience managing vendor relations and expectations.
  • Management-level communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with Industry Standard Codes (ASME, B31, ASTM, AWS, OSHA) and or international equivalents a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office, MS Project, Quickbase, experience with JD Edwards a plus.
