Chart Industries is looking for a Senior Product Development Engineer for our FinFans Division. This position can be located in either Beasley, TX or Tulsa, OK.



What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…


This position is assigned to Product Development for industrial, air coolers, vaporizers, and brazed aluminum heat exchangers.  Under broad direction, works from requirements or instructions to design and develop complex new components or re-design existing components to improve the organization’s products.  This position is a floating engineer that is available to keep development projects progressing through the job design cycle. 


The successful candidate will:

  • Verify the performance of new products and product features using analytical techniques and testing.
  • Develop the performance data, design procedures, analytical techniques, and computer program algorithms to customize these products for customer applications.
  • Perform light numerical modeling (CFD, FEA).
  • Perform developed dynamic analysis calculations.
  • Provide technical support to others both inside and outside the company to:
    • Evaluate and resolve performance questions.
    • Assist Sales with customer presentations and with complex designs and applications.
    • Assist in solving manufacturing problems and troubleshoot design and print issues.
  • Develop, test, implement and maintain new engineering software.
  • Conceive and develop new industrial products and product features.

Your Education Should Be…



Bachelor degree in engineering and five years of industrial equipment experience



Master degree in related engineering and eight years experience


Your Professional Experience Should Be…



  • Strong fluid-flow, heat transfer, and thermodynamics training.
  • Numerical and 3D CAD modeling experience.
  • Personable and able to work with and communicate professionally with people at all levels.
  • A team player who is also a demonstrated self-starter. 
  • Well-organized and logical thinker.
  • Strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Desire to perform hands-on testing.



  • Experience with fluid flow work
  • Experience with heat transfer work
  • Structural and mechanical analysis skills.
  • Computer programming skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and API 661.
  • Experience with software: HTRI, Aspentech HYSYS, EDR, ANSYS FEA & CFD, Solidworks, and Matlab.
