We would like you to join our team as a dynamic and results driven Product focused AFM Sales Engineer, you will become the vital link between our innovative technical solutions and our clients in the Korean End-User. Your ability to understand client needs, establish lasting relationships and convert opportunities into win-win sales scenarios, ensuring the continued success and growth of Chart, will be vital. As we continue to grow, this role will be primarily focused on Capex sales however will also focus on developing our wider Chart product portfolio.

What Will You Do?

  1. Responsible for sales and strategic development of the Howden Korea AFM(Aftermarket) business in Power, PCOG (Petrochemical, Oil & Gas) & Industrial markets.
  2. Responsible in achieving annual AFM sales budget/target (bookings, revenue and margin) by preparing and negotiating quotes.
  3. Responsible to support the HKR Country manager to analyse market demand and competition situation based on the company sales plans and develop new sales opportunities to promote the company's overall business development, ensure sales targets reached
  4. Responsible to ensure prompt and accurate responses to customer for commercial and technical enquiries
  5. Responsible to support project execution of legacy brands of Howden and CPI

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  1. Achieve the annual AFM contract bookings, sales and margin budget by:
    • Proactively administering the AFM sales Bidding and Budgetary from enquiry through to customer order:
      • Evaluation of customer technical and commercial requirements to ensure correct supply of equipment
      • Ensure AFM quotations are processed within clients required timescales
      • Obtain / request necessary drawings if required in the quotation process
      • Keep CRM up-to-date and maintain the data as accurate as possible
      • Liaise with customers to negotiate initial contract terms and conditions
      • Make sure customer order reflects the agreed terms in Howden’s quote
    • Developing sound relationships with customers and suppliers
  2. Customer communication
    • Updating customer contact list in CRM and in the ERP system
    • Confirming customers product and maintenance details
    • Pro-active communication of AFM requirements and special campaigns
    • Follow up open opportunities as required
  3. Administrative diligence – accurately and efficiently in a timely manner prepare required documents and seek to continuously improve office procedures
  4. Liaise with PBU (Product Business Units) in order to start transferring PBUs knowledge and being a backup instead of PBU sales or technical team in local.

Your Experience Should Be...

  • Minimum 3+ year sales experience in similar industries
  • Understanding of rotary equipment (Compressors, Fans, Blowers, Rotary heaters & Steam turbines) and process application for Power, PCOG & Industrial markets. Preferred Power market sales experience
  • Engineering Degree in relevant field preferred
  • TOEIC grade 800 up, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal): must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization with tact and diplomacy with a high level of cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to interpret financial data and perform accurate pricing calculations (pricing, margins, exchange rates)
  • Experience working on ERP system (Ecount and preferably Microsoft AX)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure while keeping a positive and result- driven attitude
  • Previous experience negotiating  terms of substantial contracts
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain high level of accuracy
  • High level of PC literacy, especially MS Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer
