Main Purpose of the Role

 

  • Responsible for workshop business and daily job.
  • Manage workshop employees and responsible to increase workshop capability yearly.
  • Management of equipment, parts, and materials, encompassing all logistical activities within the workshop.
  • Manage logistics, packings & delivery in workshop operations for day to day operations.
  • Responsible for stocktaking and ensure inventory accuracy in workshop.
  • Implement and oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) as well as ISO-related tasks in accordance with the company's workshop policies.
  • Responsible for workshop administration.
  • Continuous improvement KPI for workshop.
  • Manage field service engineer team by company option.
  • Provide assistance in supply chain operations, inclusive of managing direct and indirect costs, as well as collecting relevant data.
  • Manage and maintain registers of the specialised tools and equipment in the workshop.
  • Manage & develop ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
  • To act for safety and ensure compliance with Howden Global Safety Policies,  standards, Life Saving Behaviours, Think Safe as well as relevant external SHE standards. 
  • Develop, implement and monitor EHS policies and procedures, external certifications and internal audits, to ensure compliance with all applicable EHS legislation and with Howden Global Safety policies and standards.
  • To work proactively with Service teams, contractors and clients to make EHS plan for all service and erection job to prevent and manage risks. 
  • To work proactively with the management team to establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working practices within Howden Korea where all employees believe a Zero Lost Time Injury and Occupational Illness rate is achievable.
  • Manage Safety culture, EHS planning, External Certifications & Internal Audits.
  • Reporting for EHS & Quality activities including Risk Assessment, Incident Analysis, Implementation of Corrective Actions monthly.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop/Site including job scheduling and labour allocation for day to day operations.

  • Co-ordinate resources, (operational and human) schedules and activities to effectively manage jobs.

  • Ensure supplies are ordered for each job.

  • Assist with quoting, project management, materials purchasing and quality checks.

  • Provide oversight and check job Project plans in workshop

  • Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns with the GM(CM) and Regional EHS manager.

  • Discuss with team to identify appropriate course of action. 

  • Develop and implement systems to record, file and store information pertaining to Technical.

  • Work with apprentices and semi-skilled staff to role model appropriate technical skills.

  • Provide feedback to staff that are not performing to the expected level and ensure human resources are informed of trends in performance.

  • Promote a Health and Safety culture within the business.

  • Responsible for the implementation of 5S and other HSEQ standard within the Company

  • Setting and Discussing Performance objectives and Development Plan

  • Updating of records in company ERP systems

  • Control quality of work performed on all sites including data work management

  • Determine and allocate tools and people when new sites start

  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability

  • Manage budgets and forecasts

  • Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley control

Your Education Should Be…

Bachelor degree in engineering is preferred.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience including logistics, packings & delivery in workshop operations or in the related field

  • Minimum 2 years QA / QC experience in workshop (Familiar QC of parts, able to read drawing of parts and handling measurement tools)

  • Bachelor degree in engineering is preferred.

  • ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 related experience is preferred.

  • Working experience on rotating machinery & EHS preferred.

  • QHSE audit specialised courses.

  • 1st grade driver license holder

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment-electric pallet truck, electric stacker is an added advantage

  • Ability to read and communicate with English (Over 700 Grade of TOEIC required)

  • Ability to cope with stress and meeting tight deadlines during peak season

  • Good planning skills and must be able to carry out a defined scope of works

  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised

  • Knowledge of workplace safety

  • Need to be physically able to carry that are between 5-15kgs

  • Self motivated with can do attitude and hands on approach

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both Korean and English)

  • Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint
