Position Summary: The position requires a leader with a deep knowledge of fundamental Aerodynamics and application of aerodynamics on turbomachinery. The preferred candidate will have experience in developing and integrating Aerodynamics into the turbomachinery market within the gas and oil industry. The candidate should also have experience with experimental Aerodynamic measurement methods and should have the ability to lead an organization through change, technical coaching ability and good communication skills.
What Will You Do?
- Lead development and implement innovation to improve Aerodynamics performance leveraging the state-of-the-art gas turbines..
- Drive increased use of all the Aerodynamic tools to achieve their full potential
- Provide significant guidance resolving and troubleshooting program aerodynamic issues
- Develop and maintain Aerodynamics best practices with emphasis on the moving ground interactions
- Collaboratively work with CFD experts to seamlessly incorporate analysis techniques to improve aerodynamics performance
- Develop and maintain training materials and support Aerodynamics training sessions for new engineers as well as creative designers
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Your Experience Should Be...
- 5+ years of experience with Aerodynamics development and integration about turbomachinery.
- Track record of developing new methods/enablers, overcoming technical challenges and leading change
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on fluid mechanics
- Exposure and understanding of CFD techniques and software capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and integrate solutions
Preferred
- 5+ years of experience in vehicle Aerodynamics
- Advanced Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in aerodynamics development in a moving ground wind tunnel
- Experience in CFD
