Position Summary:  Setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

Must fully understand G and M CNC programming codes.  
•    Continuously improve manufacturing process by ensuring product quality, reduced cycle times and lead times.  
•    Regulate machining factors of speed, feed, torque and coolant flow.  
•    Create and compile all necessary documents to aid in programming.
•    Experience in CNC machine setup and tool selection.   
•    Live tooling a plus.
•    Extensive use of calipers, micrometers or any precision measuring instrument.  
•    Experience with HAAS CNC & Lathe machines  

•    Ability to work with tight tolerances.
•    Makes improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes.

 

Your Education Should Be…

  • High school diploma/GED; college degree preferred.
    •    5+ years of experience lathe
    •   Ability to read blueprints.  
    •    Must have excellent organization, verbal and written communication.  
    •    Ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
    •    Ability to perform tooling setups a plus. 
    •    Complies with all safety rules and regulations.

This position is subject to an uncontrolled manufacturing shop with environmental conditions, which could expose the associate to heat and cold weather, noise and oils as well as subjected to hazards such as, but not limited to, moving parts and vehicles, heat and chemicals and electrical current.
