Howden Maintenance Partners is part of Chart Industries and is a growing service company within the group, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of industrial machines—both electrically and mechanically rotating. Think of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, generators, steam turbines, turbo compressors, reciprocating compressors, and expanders. This work can be carried out either on-site at the customer’s location or at one of our facilities.

As a winder, you are responsible for rewinding electric motors and generators. You will play a key role in the repair and optimization of electric machines, where quality and precision are central.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Carrying out assignments as assigned by the teamleader.
  • Independent winding of DC and AC motors and generators.
  • Sawing out winding heads and removing existing electric windings.
  • Visual and geometric inspection of parts.
  • Performing electrical tests such as Surge and ELCID.
  • Replacing and repairing footers and cables of stators.
  • Stacking and repairing tin packages.
  • Impregnation of stators, coils and anchors under vacuum.
  • Working with overhead crane, hoists and small forklift.
  • Active participation in team meetings such as QRM and Toolbox meetings.

What do you bring to the table?

You have a passion for technology and an eye for detail. Thanks to your knowledge and experience, you actively contribute to the rewinding of electric motors and generators.

  • An A2 diploma in Electromechanics or equivalent through experience.
  • A good knowledge of electric motors and generators.
  • In possession of a basic VCA training, or are willing to follow it.
  • Experience in operating overhead cranes.
  • Can express himself well in Dutch, both orally and in writing.
  • Is a strong communicator and easily makes contacts within the team.
